A strategy oriented platform
Discover is a financial institution known for their customer-driven services and simple finance management suited to beginners. To enhance interactions with card members, we integrated a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) strategy with a fresh visual approach in a series of email communications. Our goal was to reflect Discover’s core brand tenet—We treat you like you treat you.

We approached the project from the card members’ point of view and, working with Discover, provided members with insightful information, gentle reminders, and guidance toward certain actions through further email communications. The tone of these communications is encouraging, recognizing that there’s a learning curve for beginners who are just starting to manage their financial situations, and Discover is here to help improve their overall finance experience with an array of educational initiatives. We use different visual methods, personalized tactics, and creative messages to engage with customers, all to help keep them on track.

The most challenging thing is not only catching card members’ attention but also inspiring them to take action. First, we establish a clean and modern template with a refreshed Discover branding. The template is composed with a modular design in mind, and bold, direct headlines follow, with interesting graphic storytelling and strong calls-to-action.
We use visuals to keep the content informative but digestible. And to build a conversational tone, we craft witty, relatable lifestyle illustrations and messages. Finally, finance is more than just numbers.
